Staff was awesome. Plenty of things to do. Fish, hike, bike, etc.
BEWARE: the park rangers are borderline prison guards and when they say “lights out at 10:00” they mean it. If not, they will call the police on you if you are making any kind of noise after 10:00pm, I know because they called them on me and my family at 10:02pm and there is a very strict about no public consumption of alcohol anywhere in the park even in your own camp site. Also, make sure you do not pick up any of the pieces of wood that are cut and left on the ground around the camp site, you have to bring your own fire wood into the park to burn and make sure you don’t let any of your firewood stick out of the fire pit or near the edge of the fire pit because they will stop and lecture you on it. This is the worst place I have ever camped and we have camped all over texas so steer clear of this place.
Thru no fault of their own... Was told today it will be the end of 2018 before trails are open again.
Decent place for hiking in east texas. Good place for daggo's. Trails are for beginners to intermediate. Beware of snakes and mosquitos and have fun.
Great place to walk your pets and get some beautiful outdoor exercise. Love it, plus you can take a picnic lunch and enjoy a day in the outdo
