This is the only vet clinic I will trust to treat my furbabies! I have been using MSVC since they opened and it is so nice to call with a question and they know who I am and have the answers I seek. Also, this is the only vet clinic I have used that separates the cats and dogs to reduce their stress levels.
The staff is great, very helpful and always courteous, even when things are hetic. Dr. Hunter is awesome!!
I brought all 3 of my large (80 lbs each, FFS!) dogs for their checkups together, and after the weigh in they showed us to a treatment room which would have been too hot even without 3 nervous fur babies. The wait wasn't long before an assistant came in and asked "Who's first?" and since it didn't really matter, grabbed the leash of the one closest to her and attempted to take her out of the room. My baby girl was having none of it and refused to budge, and the girl responded by starting to drag her! I put a stop to that crap immediately and told her that Bonita would only go if I went too, so I took the leash and we followed her into the hallway and a short distance to another door, where the girl grabbed the leash and told me she would bring Bonita back in a few minutes, and once again attempted to drag her away. I stopped her and told her again that Bonita would not go without me, and I asked her where she was taking her and why, since we were all already in an exam room. She never really answered, and just told me to take her back to the exam room with the others and the doctor would be in to see us soon. The doctor returned with the assistant a few minutes later and they examined all 3 as expected, although the other 2 dogs were affected by my and Bonita's anxiety and distress, turning the whole thing into a nightmare for all of us. Poor Bonita went last, but was so freaked out by the earlier trauma that they had to muzzle her just to be able to give her shots, which caused her to urinate on herself, something she has never done. I'm still baffled and can't think of an explanation for why they tried to take her to another part of the building, somewhere I couldn't go with her. Although the doctor seemed competent I will take my babies to one of the other vets in town next time.
I have been going here for years. The friendly staff take good care of my cat. He likes it there.
When living in Lumberton I came to love this vet clinic. The staff are great. They will treat your animals with care. The doctors are great. They are as helpful as they are informed. The prices are not very bad. They helped me treat my rescue who was very sick, and were supportive while treating him. Simply put, this has been one of the best clinics that I have treated my animals.
